Oscar de la Renta at MFAH

This week my sister Candace and I took a sister day and visited the new exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston.  This beautiful exhibit was $25 for entry and worth every dollar! The exhibit is narrated mostly by Andre Leon Talley who also curated the show to reflect the Glamour and Romance of Oscar de la Renta. The exhibit is broken up into the regions as well as a garden section inspired by Marie Antoinette who influenced the designer and most focusing on his iconic looks from each line.  What I loved most about the exhibit was that as a designer he always asked himself “Would my wife wear this!” Every design had the comfort of the wearer in mind.
